gtt is Hiring a Production Technician Near Walpole, MA
- Contract Duration 6 months
- Pay rate up to $20/hr
- The Production Technician will ensure the production of high-quality commercial roofing materials through accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of manufacturing processes including machine operation, quality verification, packaging, housekeeping, and forklift operation.
- The Production Technician is Responsible for the safe operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and forklifts, and the production and/or shipment of quality products.
- Record and document all required data on the computer and/or in written form.
- Follow all safety, operational, maintenance, and housekeeping policies and procedures for the plant and your assigned department.
- Complete product testing and inspections in accordance with product and quality specifications and alert the supervisor to variations in the production process at all times.
- Perform other duties related to plant operations as assigned.
- Ability to walk, lift, carry, grasp, bend, climb stairs and ladders, reach, kneel
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time as necessary
- Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to see and hear clearly, with or without the use of aids
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
- Required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing
- Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office machinery
- Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices such as the telephone
- Required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Must continuously have the ability to differentiate colors precisely
- Occasionally operate business machines

- Related experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, especially roofing
